NHLDS Show cases its Achievements

The National Health Laboratory and Diagnostics Services (NHLDS) welcomed the Global Fund Communications team, led by Elise Walter, to document the Department's achievements over the years resulting from Global Fund investments. The visit aimed to showcase some of the significant milestones attained.
The team's itinerary included a visit to the Wakiso Epicenter in Temangalo and the Wakiso Health Center IV, where they were given a firsthand demonstration of the National Sample and Results Transport Network. This demonstration provided the team with insight into how the system operates to support the laboratory sector effectively.
Following this, the team proceeded to the offices of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation in Bugolobi, where they observed the laboratory's waste water-based surveillance in action.
The team then visited the NHLDS headquarters, where they were treated to an extensive tour of the Calibration Center and the National Reference Laboratories.
Expressing her gratitude, Elise commended the management for their time and commitment in facilitating the team's visit. She congratulated the team on the impressive work they had witnessed and lauded the reference labs for setting benchmarks in the region.
